A woman has always exhibited diversified qualities, in the different roles that she plays in her life – as a mother, a sister, a life-partner, a mentors, a friend, a daughter and of course a source of inspiration. Our lives are so influenced by women that we can’t deny them their significance in our life. According to me the role of a woman as a life-partner for the man, is the most significant one as this role gives her the opportunity to single up all her prior roles viz. a mother, a sister, a partner ….. all into one. That’s why they say “BEHIND EVERY SUCCESSFULL MAN, STANDS A WOMAN !

“. There are mothers and sisters and good friends and teachers. And then, there are mentors… They have appeared like a blessing, just at the right time and with purpose. They have served as powerful role models, anchors, life coaches, motivators The general role of a woman -What influence does equality between men and women have on defining their expected roles in life? And are we allowed to say that men and women have identical roles in life, since they are one and of the same soul? God created men and women to build life together and to complete one another all lifelong.

Hence, Islam opened the door to women to wade through all the fields of struggle in life side by side with men, supporting each other, helping, and completing one another. Moreover, Islam did not separate them in roles, the thing that is clearly shown in His saying {The Believers, men and women, are protectors one of another: they enjoin what is just and forbid what is evil. } (9:71). Once we understand that justice embraces everything positive in life, and that evil comprises everything negative in it, we will then realize that men and women are partners in building up life.

And just like men are responsible of the society, women also are equally responsible of the society they live in. So, outside the framework of the specifically motherhood and fatherhood characteristics where they perform absolutely different functions, men and women have vast areas to conquer, building life shoulder to shoulder as human beings, equal in humanity. Accordingly, we can say that Islam had opened the door to women to enjoy life as a whole, in contrast to what some people may assume that it had tied them down in their characteristics as females. 1. And how to protect women.

And also their role in a man’s world. We also discuss the women’s right. II. REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE When we think of serving God, we usually think of men; but one of the greatest in the Bible may have been a woman. In John, chapter 4, a woman, who had been married five times and was living with a man who was not her husband, after drinking of Living water, went into town and said, “Come, see a man, which told me all things I ever did. ” And many believed on Christ. Others followed her back to where Jesus was. And those who followed her accepted Christ when they saw Him for themselves.

The unusual thing about this story is that twelve preachers had been in that same town all day, and not one of them had led a single soul to Christ. Now here was a fallen woman who had never joined the church and never been baptized who said, “Come, see a man, which told me all things that I ever did: is not this the Christ? ” She exaggerated. He didn’t tell everything she ever did! He only told her that she had been married five times and was living with a man who was not her husband. This woman led nearly the whole town to Christ! In the New Testament, there is Mary the mother of Jesus who lived beautifully before Him in everything.

And, humanly speaking, if there were more mothers like Mary, there would be more children like Christ. There is the Syrophoencian woman who, without a promise, pleaded with Jesus for her daughter who was grievously vexed with a devil. No greater faith was ever demonstrated. There is Dorcas who made garments for the poor and put her love into every stitch. And the stories go on and on and on. Christ was always especially tender with women. It was for two women (Mary and Martha) that He broke the seal of death and raised Lazarus from the tomb. It was for a mother that He stopped a funeral procession in Nain and raised a young boy from the dead.

It was for a woman (Mary Magdalene) that He cast out seven devils. When Jesus hung on the cross, He uttered seven things. Three utterances came before the darkness, three after the darkness, and one during the darkness. One utterance had to do with His mother. He looked at John and said, “Behold thy mother! ” and made provisions for her after His death. The Bible is filled with stories about women. I could not begin to tell them all. No one can read the Bible and not be impressed with the importance of women. So what makes a great woman? For starters, a great woman doesn’t have to be Mother Teresa.

I said a great woman, not a saintly woman. A great woman is someone who loves you, supports you, cooks, cleans, loves to have children, and is willing to put up with your character flaws III. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY & SOURCES OF DATA WIKIPEDIA ENCYCLOPEDIA ENCARTA KIDS ENCARTA DICTIONARIES IV. PRESENTATION ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA What is the importance and the role of women? As a…. The mother Who can deny the importance of a woman as a mother, who bears all the pain and gives birth to you and me, the individuals who grow up under the encapsulation of her care, her love, her sacrifice and her dedication.

The love of a mother for her child can’t be compared to anything in this world. The sister Whoever has a sister will definitely understand the role a sister plays in our life ! A sister is the best emotional support for you in one’s life as a bachelor. I have experienced throughout my life how strong and caring a sister is. In Indian culture, a sister plays a very important role in our life and that’s why we have festivals like “Raksha Bandhan” and “Bhau Beej” which highlight the special bond of relation between a brother and sister.

What a sister expects from her brother is just a protective relation where she can feel secure and what does she give in return ? Lots of love and mature thoughts, which are really invaluable. The life-partner The role of a woman as a life-partner is completely different from the earlier roles. All those lucky who have a girl friend or are married (if they think the way I think) may have experienced the difference between the earlier roles and this one. As a life-partner, the woman is totally different. She wants her man to be someone she can be proud of. She idolizes her man and wants him to be her “soulmate”!

As a partner, the woman symbolizes her inner strength which overrides her beauty and her passion. She is always there for her man when he needs her and has the immense ability to switch on and off into different roles. I have seen from the experiences of my friends and my relatives, how a woman, though playing the role of a life partner can easily be a mother, a sister a friend for her partner when time demands a shift in her roles. The daughter As a daughter, the woman is the greatest support for her parents, as she is always ready to sacrifice for the benefit of the family.

A daughter is an asset to the family as very often do we see her sharing the responsibilities equally with the mother and father. A daughter has an essence of motherhood too in her natural instincts and so in the absence of the mother, is the substitute mother for the entire family. Remember the days when mom is ill. Who replaces her efficiently ? Of course it’s her daughter/ According to me the role of a woman as a life-partner for the man, is the most significant one as this role gives her the opportunity to single up all her prior roles. A mother, a sister, a partner all into one.

That’s why they say “BEHIND EVERY SUCCESSFULL MAN, STANDS A WOMAN ! “. It’s this role of a woman which if played properly and dedicatedly, can build and flourish the family but if not, can ruin the family too . How women help the other people? Women can perhaps live without men but men cannot truly live without women because men do not have the natural ability to procreate. It has been said in ancient times that women have been able to impregnate themselves just like the scarab beetle in Egypt. In women’s desire to become like men, women have lowered themselves and lost their spiritual way instead of leading.

It is the norm for women to now follow. This is the opposite of the natural order. You can’t have a man before a woman because a man comes from a woman. What’s A Woman’s Role In A Man’s World? A woman should be there for her man at all times, and sacrifice her career if she has to. It’s what the majority of men want, but are too afraid to say out loud anymore. Screw what the feminists are saying, a wife that knows her domestic role will always get a man. Women have been supporting men, cooking for men, and raising men’s children for thousands of years.

Why should things be any different now because the year starts with a 2 instead of a 1? One last point. If your woman treats you right, you should treat her right too. If she respects you, you should do the same. And no matter how out of line she gets, remember that only a coward would ever hit a woman. The Value of a Woman A woman is of great value, probably more value then we sometimes think. She is of great value because her far-reaching influence for good. The greatest trust in the world is in the hands of a woman. Someone said the most influential position in the nation today is held by a woman.

She enforces law, practices medicine, and teaches–without degrees, certificate of confidence, or required training. She handles the nation’s food, administers its drugs, practices emergency first aid, and tests for all the spiritual, physical and mental ills of the American family. A man literally places his life and the lives of his children in the hands of a woman. Her influence has no limit. The woman may mark the pathway for generations to come. She can be the key to success or failure of her children’s lives. How to protect woman’s right?

Women make up more than half the world’s people but only a fifth of the world’s decision-makers. Women are under-represented in formal politics, and often have little voice in making decisions within important political spaces such as the household and the workplace. Their lack of access to education and resources puts them at a severe disadvantage in the economic sphere. Everyday women around the world face discrimination, poverty, violence and abuse. This is especially true for women who are already marginalized: disabled, indigenous, those living with HIV, informal workers, Dalit’s, migrant women.

Women’s political rights are vital to securing and retaining all other rights. Women who have a voice can transform their lives. Woman’s Right We also must recognize that women will never gain full dignity until their human rights are respected and protected. Women must enjoy the right to participate fully in the social and political lives of their countries if we want freedom and democracy to thrive and endure. Let me clear. Freedom means the right of people to assemble, organize and debate openly. It means respecting the views of those who may dis agree with the views of their governments.

It means not taking citizens away from their love ones, and jailing them or denying them their freedom or dignity because of their peaceful expression of their opinions and ideas. Women, in my opinion, must gain access to live their lives as they want to – to feel the freedom. Some cultures may force little girls to marry early the men who are far older than those little girls are. At that time, these child brides do not have the rights to even refuse the marriage set for them. Little girls who are supposed to enjoy playing with their friends have to give birth to their babies whose ages are not that far from those little ‘wives’.

This happens due to gender discrimination – a condition where girls are not entitled to education and there is no other choice but marriage. Or else, the girls’ families are so poor that they need urgent financial help. In addition, women have the rights to make their dreams come true. They have the rights to access education as high as they can attain. They have the rights to be smart and to be successful. It is a very unfair decision where boys may go to schools and girls must stay home. Girls are not allowed to go to schools since parents are going to send them to marriage anyway.

The parents consider this going to school as a waste of money if they spend the money on their daughters. What the parents think about is only how to find their daughters good and rich husbands so that their daughters may live a life of fortune which the parents believe to be the source of happiness in a family life. I encourage women from all classes to appreciate themselves by improving their statuses both through education and through their renewed ways of thinking to make better futures. V. SUMMARY The role of women in society has been greatly overseen in the last few decades.

They are now becoming a more of a perspective to people, but in the earlier days, women were not seen in the workplace. They were seen as mothers taking care of children, or any household duties like cooking and cleaning. Soon enough the role of women gradually changed as they became to voice their opinions. Throughout history, the roles of men and women would always be directed by gender. Traditionally, women in America were limited in their roles. Women were once seen as only needed to bear children and take care of household activities such as cooking and cleaning, while their husband would provide for his family.

It was common for a man to go out and provide for his family while the woman would stay at home and take care of all the necessary household chores and children. A married woman always took the husband’s status. A great woman is someone who loves you, supports you, cooks, cleans, loves to have children, and is willing to put up with your character flaws. Women have the rights to make their dreams come true. They have the rights to access education as high as they can attain. They have the rights to be smart and to be successful.
